Google recently rolled out a set of weird (in my opinion) ways to advertise stuff using your profile picture and name. Of course, not many are happy about it. So, here is how you can remove your profile pic/name from this type of “endorsement” advert.
I wonder who came up with this “brilliant” idea. Even though I might have “like” or “plus” or share something, it does not mean that the brand can use my profile pic and name to promote their products.
Here are the steps to remove this type of endorsement adverts: –
- Go to this page https://plus.google.com/settings/endorsements?hl=en
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page to locate the check box (there is only one).
- Uncheck the check box if it is checked (some might already been unchecked)
- Save it
That is it! Thanks to TechCrunch for the link.
