Xiaomi is releasing its next generation Redmi handset, Redmi 2 (Hongmi 2), in China on the 9th January 2015. Appearance wise, it looks similar to Redmi. However, on the internal, it has an upgraded specs including the support for Dual 4G SIM card.

And the price is a very affordable RMB699 (S$150 or USD112). There is no news on whether this handset will be sold outside China or not. Based on Redmi experience, we should be seeing it soon
