Yesterday, I was looking at the link that says “Shocking ! This girl killed herself after her dad posted this photo” and with a link. Do not click on it as it is a Facebook “Like” worm.
According to Mashable, it does no harm but will force you to “like” the page and continue to spread to others. It is able to do this via Javascript. I do not know the technical details but just be careful.
According to SocialToo’s Jesse Stay, the scammers have figured out a way to exploit the “Like” button via Javascript and are using it to force users to like the page, thus spreading it inadvertently through postings on Facebook walls.
