Microsoft is rolling out Skydrive App for Windows Phone and iOS devices. For those who may not know, Skydrive is a free cloud storage for users with Microsoft Windows Live ID. It is already deeply integrated into Windows Phone. However, with this Skydrive App, you can create folder, copy a link to share with friends or colleagues and etc. Watch the video after the break.
I do not know what is Microsoft strategy. Seems that it wants to flood the market with more Microsoft users (you need a Windows Live ID to access Skydrive).
Will it backfire?
I meant previously, Skydrive has been a pride for Windows Phone as it has a huge free storage of 25GB and it felt exclusive as it is integrated into Windows Phone. Now, it is available on different OSes. In my opinion, I am happier this way.
Now that I can access my 2nd phone (iPhone) or iPad with the same information that I store on Skydrive using Windows Phone or even the website. Seriously, I still have 25GB out of 25GB for Skydrive after more than a year use.
I am sure Microsoft noticed that too! Anyway, here are the videos.
And here is a video for Skydrive app on iPhone.
