Insta360 introduces the Insta360 ONE RS. This modular camera is the upgraded version of the Insta360 ONE R. It also introduces a new 4K Boost Lens module with a 1/2″ 48MP image sensor which is backward compatible with the Insta360 ONE R.
I love Insta360 products. It is versatile as an action camera and capable of taking 360 degrees videos. The Insta360 ONE RS is a modular camera with 3 parts – battery, processor, and lenses. If you need super high-resolution video, you can go for the 1-inch Wide Angle Lens. If you use it as a daily camera, you can use the 4K Boost Lens, or if you need to take 360 degrees video, change the lens to the 360 Lens.
Based on the Press Release, the FlowState Stabilization is now delivered through the camera hardware instead of using the app. Here are some changes made to the Insta360 ONE RS.
Upgrades to the new Core:
- An additional mic, for crisp and true-to-life audio
- 50% faster Wi-Fi, for easy mobile file transfers
- An Instant Zoom function, for digitally zooming in up to 2.7x while recording videos
- A Quick menu, for easy access to preset shooting modes
The Mounting Bracket has also been redesigned, with a quick-release mechanism for switching lenses on the fly, a windproof mic cover, and a heat-dissipating panel to ensure the camera stays cool while recording.
