Samsung Introduces Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy 20 Series in Unpacked 2020

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2020 is just over. And Samsung has announced a slew of products like the Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, and Galaxy Buds+.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip

The highlight of the show is definitely the Galaxy Z Flip, a foldable phone that has glass screen. Unlike the Galaxy Fold (that flips to become a bigger phone), this Galaxy Z Flip folds a 6.7-inch screen into half to make it super compact.

There are multiple ways you can enjoy this phone.

And in my opinion, one of the amazing things about it is the software. for example, you can watch YouTube on one screen and comment on the other. Or you can make video call (Google Duo) when the screen is folded at 90 degrees.

Check out the introduction video.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip is available from 14th February at USD1,380. Not sure when Singapore will get it. Anyway, here is what you will get in the retail box.

BTW, there is also a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Thom Browne Edition. Super nice and clean look.

Here is another picture with the accessories.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Series

The Samsung Galaxy S20 Series comprises of three smartphones. They are the Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+, and the S20 Ultra.

Here is a simple overview of the three models.

As you can see, the highest-end device is the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra which has a whopping 108 MPX main camera.

If you are wondering how a camera can have 100x zoom (Space Zoom) in such a thin body (for the S20 Ultra), here is the answer.

Samsung is using a folded lens to get the focal length for the 100x zoom. This is only available on the S20 Ultra.

Here is a summary of the camera lenses on the S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra.

Here is the comparison of the camera sensor size.

All the S20 Series are capable of taking 8K video. This is really amazing to have 8K videos straight from a smartphone.

One of my favorite video recording features is the Super Steady Shot. Based on the video, it can really stabilize the video.

Battery capacity is also one of the important features on a phone. Check out the battery capacity of the three models.

Here is a summary of the features of the S20 Series.
