If you want the comfort of riding a PEV (Personal Electric Vehicle) and the ease of carrying it, the UrmO might be your answer. It rides like a Segway Ninebot Mini and can be folded in 2 secs and carried like an electric Unicycle.
I really like this design. It has big wheels (14-inch), sturdy material that can withstand up to 120kg of weight and can be easily folded without any locking mechanism. Just grab and go.
Check out this intro video.
The UrmO is currently available on Indiegogo and is already funded. You can still get the early bird pricing of €1299 (or around S$2,014) excluding the shipping charge. Target to ship from November 2019.
It is not cheap but based on the background of the founders (ex-staff from BMW, Tesla and RIMAC Automobili), this UrmO might incorporate the best features.
Here are the featured specs.
I like that it is very light (6.5kg). Given the rules by LTA, the specs should be alright. And the UrmO is UL2272 Fire Safety Standard compliant which is a new rule to follow from 2021.
Here are the full specs.
What I think might be a problem is the low clearance from the ground. Although it has 14-inch wheels, the clearance from the ground is not high. So, effectively, you cannot just go through obstacles without worrying about the low clearance.
