IKEA Singapore coworkers bring The Shining and other ghoulish creatures to life this Halloween
– a ‘ frightfully’ fun shopping experience for customers at IKEA Tampines –
IKEA Singapore is bringing The Shining and other ghoulish characters to life as a fun shopping surprise for customers for Halloween today, Oct 31!
As a follow-up to the IKEA advertisement which re-enacted a key scene in Stanley Kubrik’s The Shining, co-workers at IKEA Tampines have dressed up as characters from various horror films, including Jigsaw and Frankenstein.
The advertisement was created to raise awareness for late-night shopping at IKEA, where stores open till 11pm.
The co-workers will be going around the store to surprise customers with Halloween treats (no tricks!) – this morning, Frankenstein played catch with children at the restaurant, whilst Pumpkinhead gave out sweets to customers.
To celebrate this ‘frightfully’ fun holiday:
- IKEA Singapore is giving a $10 IKEA Restaurant voucher for every customer dressed in full Halloween costume today
- Customers can redeem their vouchers anytime between 10am-10pm at both IKEA Tampines and IKEA Alexandra
So every boy and girl, ghouls and monsters alike can come celebrate Halloween at IKEA – and have fun shopping in a safe and brightly lit environment without any scares!
