It is the start of a brand new year. The team from TechieLobang would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. As per last year, I would like to provide a summary report of the progress of TechieLobang.
Overall, I am happy to announce that TechieLobang has progressed in 2012. Traffic views and visits have increased. Social outreach has also improved. Thanks to all the support from readers, subscribers.

Last year, I promised that I will get the Alexa Ranking within 100,000 by end of 2013. I guess the hard work has paid off. The current TechieLobang Alexa Ranking is <100,000. This means that TechieLobang is the top 100,000 websites (according to Alexa – Of course, some may dispute this claim) in the world.
Blog Post
This year, the number of blog posts has not significantly increased. This does not come as a surprise as I am consistently writing them. I am glad to announce that TechieLobang finally has a team (small one) that was formed in the 2nd half of the year 2013.
Last year, I announced that I am looking for Tech Enthusiasts. I have found these TechiElites. They have started to write blog posts and sharing of interesting information on TechieLobang Facebook Page and Twitter account. You will see more from them in 2014.
- Number of Post in 2013: 1221
Last year I shared some of the posts that have the highest number of Facebook shares. Guess what, one of the post that is relating to Mindef ban on smartphone with screen size more than 4.3-inches has gone viral and has garnered more than 1,800 shares (from last year’s 210 shares).
This year, I decided to use the highest views as a gauge to find out what the readers like. Here are the top three of them.

Reflecting 2013, it had been a challenge. Gone are the days that readers will flock to websites to read news via email or word of mouth. Most of them (links of content) are through social media like Twitter or Facebook.
Sharing is just a press of a button. That means technology news are spreading faster than ever. It is a challenge now to keep everyone updated with all the tech news 24 x 7 at TechieLobang.com. In 2014, I am trying to see if there is a way to have more KPOP news. In recent years, I have seen so many fans waiting in line for a chance to see their KPOP stars. I hope to use my photography skill to bring them closer to their fans. At the same time, I will try (no promise yet at the moment) to see if there is a chance to bring selected few to events just to get a feel of them.
