StarHub partners POPULAR to offer AssessMe service on StarHub Learning Hub

Singapore families to gain easy access to POPULAR’s extensive e-assessment collection

Singapore, 13 December 2013 – StarHub today announced a strategic partnership with POPULAR, Singapore’s well-known education services company, to introduce a new online learning service called ‘AssessMe’. AssessMe is the first of many online learning services to be hosted on the all-new StarHub Learning Hub platform, which is StarHub’s major foray into digital learning to support Singapore families in their quest for knowledge.

Through AssessMe, parents and their children attending primary school can get easy access to over 40,000 e-assessment questions from more than 3,300 digital worksheets for English, Mathematics and Science. Curated and regularly updated by POPULAR’s in-house team of experienced former teachers, the weekly e-assessment content will closely track the current teaching syllabus. Other e-assessment materials to be available on StarHub Learning Hub next year include Chinese and secondary school subjects.

AssessMe will automatically mark completed multiple choice questions and the scores will then be tabulated in the StarHub Learning Hub online dashboard. This gives users immediate feedback on their performance as well as an overall view of their learning history.

“StarHub recognises that education is an important focus for families in Singapore, and e-learning is rapidly catching on as a complementary tool to traditional tutoring. The aim of StarHub Learning Hub is to offer critical learning tools that supplement the school curriculum, thereby giving students easy access to relevant study materials anytime, anywhere,” said Mr Stephen Lee, Head of i3 (Innovation, Investment, Incubation), StarHub. “In partnership with POPULAR as well as other trusted education services providers in the near future, we are committed to offering more education tools for Singapore families to easily enjoy learning together.”

Through our pedagogical and technological platform, POPULAR has created education solutions to help parents better equip their children with literacy, numeracy and life skills.”

Available exclusively for StarHub customers, parents can log on to StarHub Learning Hub  with their Hub iD from today and subscribe to AssessMe at $11.90 per month per child.
