StarHub Rewards Points conversion programme unveiled
Singapore, 14 February 2013 – StarHub today announced its collaboration with AirAsia BIG, NTUC Link and other popular merchants, in an expansion of its customer loyalty programme. Two enhancements – a user-friendly Hub Treats mobile app and a new Rewards Points conversion feature, have been specially designed to reward customers with a more extensive catalogue of treats and deals.
“Through our collaboration with popular merchant partners such as AirAsia BIG and NTUC Link, we are happy to introduce fresh ways to reward customers by enabling them to enjoy exciting treats and deals on-the-go,” said Mr Timothy Goh, Vice President of Customer Lifecycle Management, StarHub. “This expansion of our current loyalty programme is part of our ongoing efforts in giving greater value and perks to our customers by enabling them to do much more with their StarHub Rewards Points.”
Hub Treats
To bring more value and make finding the best deals in town simpler, StarHub has introduced its free Hub Treats mobile app on the App Store and Google Play exclusively for StarHub customers. From hugely-discounted travel packages and retail offerings to groceries and branded lifestyle products, customers can easily browse Hub Treat’s extensive catalogue and instantly purchase or redeem exclusive deals and treats on-the-go at StarHub’s partner merchants.
For example, StarHub customers can enjoy an additional 8% discount when they purchase branded lifestyle products at Reebonz or Kwerkee, as well as enjoy special car grooming promotions and exclusive room rates at NTUC Link’s Plus! Programme merchants, Spark Car Care and Costa Sands Resort respectively.
“It is our goal to grow rewarding partnerships with our corporate partners and also help our members benefit more from the loyalty programme. The two areas that we always emphasise on are ‘Do Good’ and ‘Do Well’. Putting LinkPoints into the StarHub programme, we are able to provide more rewards and stretch our members’ hard-earned dollars,” said Mr Tony Tan, Chief Executive Officer, NTUC Link.
StarHub Rewards Points Conversion Programme
StarHub customers can now log in to www.starhub.com/redeem with their Hub iD to convert their StarHub Rewards Points into AirAsia BIG points. A minimum of 100 StarHub Rewards Points can be exchanged for 270 AirAsia BIG Points, which they can then conveniently redeem at AirAsia BIG’s website for free AirAsia flights, hotel stays or e-gift vouchers. StarHub customers earn one StarHub Rewards Point for every dollar spent on StarHub services.
“The AirAsia BIG programme is more than just a frequent flyer programme; it is the only regional frequent flyer programme that makes travel even more attainable to our customers. From as low as 10 BIG Points which is the equivalent of about $5 spent on StarHub services, StarHub customers can redeem a flight to destinations such as Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Phuket and more. Likewise, StarHub customers who spend $750 can redeem a flight to Perth, Sydney, Melbourne or Gold Coast flying out from Kuala Lumpur for as low as 2000 BIG Points on promotion,” said Ms Alice Goh, Chief Executive Officer, AirAsia BIG.
StarHub customers will soon be able to convert their StarHub Rewards Points into NTUC LinkPoints to indulge in gourmet and lifestyle privileges from NTUC Link, Singapore’s largest consumer loyalty programme.
Mr Goh noted, “This joint collaboration with AirAsia BIG and NTUC Link marks an exciting beginning for StarHub, as we look forward to bringing more innovative features and exciting privileges as well as treats and deals from a wider selection of participating merchants in the coming months.”
