Check Out 3 Windows 8 Versions and Their Differences

Microsoft has announced 3 variants for Windows 8. This came as a surprise for me as I thought Windows 8 should be “1 size fits all”. Nevertheless, it make sense if you can see the differences.

Introducing Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro and Windows RT. I believe many could accept Windows 8 and Windows 8 Pro. However, the Windows RT seems a bit out of place and I certainly think that Microsoft can come up with better name than “RT”.

Not sure what the acronym for “RT” is but it seems to mean “Run Time” from source. I wish to talk more about the RT. For the rest, please refer to the table for the differences.

Windows RT is also known as Windows on ARM or WOA (Windows On ARM). It is a single version that comes with hardware with, of course, ARM processor. This version should have a better battery life and should be lightweight.
