Review: What is the Big Deal about AllDealsAsia iPhone App

What is the big deal about AllDealsAsia app for iPhone? That is what I am going to find out. If you have been tracking all the good deals around Coupons Sites, don’t you wish you can have one platform to see them all. Well, AllDealsAsia.com is close to doing this. In fact, if you have noticed, AllDealsAsia has been around for a while. Now it gets even better with its iPhone app. Read on to see what you can get from that app.

I am not here to talk about the history of AllDealsAsia. I am here to talk about the mobile app. If you are interested in their history, you can read them HERE.

About the AllDealsAsia App

  • You can get it HERE
  • It does not have an Android version (sad)  has an Android version and it will be out end of this month! 🙂
  • It is very snappy (means no lack, responsive)
  • It is FREE, of course
  • Registration is very easy. Key in your email and a password, you will get an account immediately. To add more details about yourself, you can login via their website.

What you can get from the AllDealsAsia App

  • Deals from AllDealsAsia
  • Deals from their Partners
  • Deals nearby you (from AllDealsAsia and Partners)
  • Deals based on categories

  • Deals from many other South East Asia countries and Australia

What is Good

  • Many deals from various sources, which means more choices for users/customers/members
  • There is a tab for “NEW” and “TOP SELLERS”. I love the “TOP SELLERS” as it may indicate the best deals around.
  • A clear differentiation between ADA (AllDealsAsia) deals and others (“ALL DEALS). Both have indication of NEW or TOP SELLERS deals.
  • “NEARBY DEALS” tab is a good way to see what are the best deals near you. I like that it has a distance indication on each deal from your location.
  • The remaining hours on a deal is indicated clearly.
  • “Categories” is good if you have in mind what you wanted. You can go straight to the category without scrolling around the many deals.
  • One of the best features (In my opinion) is the reminder function. I have problem remembering vouchers that I bought. Most of them have expiry date. For AllDealsAsia app, it has a function to set a reminder for individual voucher (I think only for AllDealAsia deals).

  • And another of my favorites is that you can pay via PayPal or any of the major cards.

What can be Better

  • There is no search function. I wish it has a search function so that I can search for deals using keywords.

Things to note

If you notice, I did not mention anything good or bad about those deals. It is very subjective and it is up to individual to find out the best deals around.

With AllDealsAsia App, the minimum groundwork of getting deals from various sites has been done. I guess a list of partners or deals sites will be much appreciated.

For partners’ deal, it will link you to their website and NOT within the app. So, you might be visiting a website not catered for mobile version. The only good thing is that the app will, by default, warn you that you are leaving to their site.

Summary

Finally, to wrap up my review, I think as an app, AllDealsAsia has done pretty well. It is easy to navigate and has clear and large pictures to show the deal. Clicking onto them will reveal more information. Details of merchant, highlights are nicely laid out. The app is responsive.

As a Deal site, I am not an expert and cannot comment if the deals are really good. However, if you read how and why AllDealsAsia is formed, you might feel a little assured. They are people who like good deals too!

And their motto says it all: “our motto can be crystallized in 3As: To Aggregate, Analyze and Articulate.

BTW, they are now having a little “perks” for those who download and review the AllDealsAsia app. You will need to buy one of the FREE “Review” voucher to stand a chance to win movie passes. So, get it while the offer is still valid.
