Since the introduction of Samsung Galaxy Note, I kept wondering what is Samsung marketing strategy given that they already have a 7-inch, 7.7-inch, 8.9-inch and a 10.1-inch devices. Why do you need this 5.3-inch device?
Looking through tablets and smartphone from other brands, I can easily say that this Samsung Galaxy Note is something unique for its big screen and Pen input. The one closest should be the HTC Flyer (7-inch).
After looking through the specs and the benefits of this Galaxy Note, I must say that it is one of the closest to resemble the Microsoft Courier (which never make it to production).
With its S Pen, it is able to act as a memo pad, a scratch pad for you to unleash your creativity (The S Pen has pressure sensitivity which is great for drawing. However, I could not find the sensitivity levels information).

As you can see, Samsung is generous in giving it a great specification. It has a 1.4 GHz dual core processor, A-GPS and Glonass and a big battery. Samsung is definitely not targeting at people looking for a light weight phone (178 g is not light). However, if you are an executive that needs a planner, calendar, organizer at your fingertip, you might be looking at this. It is not too big for an organizer and yet, big enough for easy viewing of documents or surfing the net.
As for those in the creativity field, this is a great phone that you can easily capture things with the 8-MPX rear camera and add them to your notes and etc.
I have not seen or used this device before. So my comments are based on the specifications and reading up on the things that it could do.
Here is a video of what this Samsung Galaxy Note can do.
What do you think? Is it too big, too heavy or just not right for you? Would like to hear your view.
