With so many tablets running with Froyo at IFA 2010, it was thought that the Android 2.2 might be the best experience on Tablet. However, Google director of products for mobile, Hugo Barra, mentioned clearly that “Froyo is not optimized for use on tablets”
This might be a shock to some people as they are quite happy with their experience with Samsung Galaxy Tab. It seems that a new version of Android might be needed to run Android in Tablet form “properly”. However, Hugo Barra did not give clear indication as to whether Android 3.0 (Gingerbread) is the answer to it.
Anyway, my experience with Samsung Galaxy Tab is not so bad (for that few minutes). Hopefully, manufacturers can improve the User Experience with customized UI.
