In this post, I will be going through the porting of the mobile number process (in Singapore) and also what you have for your package with HTC/Starhub.

Something to take note about porting your number in Singapore.

Porting Mobile Number From MobileOne (M1) to Starhub

  • You only need to go to your preferred Telcos and tell them that you want to port your number over to them. They will do the rest.
    • DO NOT ask your existing Telcos to cut off the line. you will NEVER get back your old Mobile Number.
    • Please take note.
  • For Starhub, it is very easy. You just need to sign on a paper to confirm your old mobile number and almost immediately, you get an SMS on your mobile phone to say that they have already submitted your request to port this number.
  • The next SMS tells you that you have already been approved on the submission and your mobile number will be effective on Starhub network the next day.

About the Singapore HTC Touch HD Package

I believe the packaging for the Touch HD defers from Country to Country. Here, I would like to elaborate the package that you are going to get from Starhub.

  • HTC Touch HD
  • Battery
  • Extra Stylus
  • Pouch
  • CD for Microsoft Synchronisation (bundled with 60 Days Trial Version of Outlook 2007)
  • CD for Extras like WorldCard Mobile, CE Star, Talking Dictionary and Sprite Backup, SPB GPRS monitor
  • Charger
  • Charging Cable
  • Earpiece (3.5mm jack)
  • 8GB MicroSD Card with Adapter
  • Screen Protector

Please take note that HTC does not provide the Outlook full version. It is only bundled with a 60-days trial version. This is a bit frustrating.

Here are some of the pictures that I have taken on the package.

Oh yes. Before I forgot. Please handle the Screen Protector with care. In my opinion, it is the hardest to paste. You have to align it exactly on the 3.8-inch screen and any misalignment will cause the Screen Protector not able to stick to the screen properly.
