Ever since HP acquired Palm, there are rumors that HP is going to make WebOS devices or tablets. There were not much confirmation on HP side until recently. Moreover, HP has also shelved its slate project and the decision is still unknown.
According to Engadget, HP Taiwan has confirmed WebOS devices. An excerpt from digitimes,
HP will adopt the WebOS platform in smartphones and tablets, according to Monty Wong, vice president of personal computing systems group at HP Taiwan, adding that since netbooks are more similar in functions with traditional computers,
Based on this, we should be hearing more interesting stuff from HP on any WebOS devices (or specifically, the WebOS tablet).

Actually if I’m not wrong, HP haven’t bought Palm yet. Still waiting for FCC (or don’t know who) approval. But then, it shouldn’t be much of a problem since there isn’t any anti-competitive issue here.
I hope HP is not rushing to push out the WebOS tablet. October seems a bit fast. Hope they have enough time to do testing. I guess everyone don’t mind waiting slightly longer for a good WebOS device.

DK: I think completion of the acquisition will be in July and yes, I hope that HP don’t push out crap products.. BTW, is there a good WebOS device, yet?
