POCO introduces the POCO X8 in Singapore, positioning it as an “endurance” smartphone designed for users seeking long battery life, a large display, and reliable day-to-day performance. Pre-orders begin on 4 September 2026 at 5 pm SGT.
It features an 8,340mAh battery, which POCO says offers 63.2% more capacity than its predecessor and supports more than two days of battery life on a single charge, based on internal lab testing. The device also supports 67W HyperCharge and 22.5W wired reverse charging, enabling fast charging and powering other devices when needed.
For the display, the POCO X8 features a 6.83-inch 1.5K ultra-bright screen with up to 3,500 nits peak brightness across 25% of the display. It also includes TÜV Rheinland eye-care certifications to improve visual comfort during longer viewing sessions.
The POCO X8 carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings under specified test conditions. It also introduces POCO’s first Underwater Mode for camera use in static freshwater within stated limits. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, with SGS-certified drop resistance from up to 3 metres under test conditions.
The device runs Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and includes Xiaomi HyperIsland and Google Gemini support. It also offers Xiaomi Offline Communication15, which supports voice calls up to 1.5km in open, unobstructed environments, though it is not intended for emergency communications.
For photography, the POCO X8 includes a 50MP main camera with OIS and EIS, along with a 16MP front camera. Dual video allows users to record from both the front and rear cameras simultaneously. AI editing tools include AI Glare Removal, AI Erase Pro, AI Image Expansion, AI Image Enhancement, and AI Beautify.
