Perks If You Turn In Your Pirate Set-top Box to StarHub

Singapore is coming hard to those who sell pirate set-top boxes with the amendments to Singapore’s Copyright Act. If you are willing to part ways with your pirate set-top box now, StarHub will waive off 2 years rental of the StarHub TV+ box (worth S$120).

This is a nice move to persuade users to move towards using a legitimate set-top box. The StarHub TV+ box is a plug-and-play Android TV-based media player which offers a cinematic viewing experience with Ultra HD 4K support and fast WiFi connectivity.

You can turn in your old pirate boxes for free and safe disposal at selected StarHub Shops. And once you sign up, you can gain access to over 90,000 hours of the content with StarHub TV+ and HBO Pak that have tens of thousands of hours of stories and blockbuster films from an exclusive duo of streaming services Disney+ and HBO GO, all at a flat monthly fee of S$30.

Singapore, 23 July 2021 – Starting tomorrow, StarHub will grant a total of $120 to each customer willing to part ways with pirate set-top boxes that may not be in compliance with the proposed amendments to Singapore’s Copyright Act. In exchange, customers will get free two-year rental of StarHub TV+ Box (worth $120), a plug-and-play Android TV-based media player which offers one-screen-for-all cinematic viewing experience with Ultra HD 4K support and fast WiFi connectivity.
