Apple introduces Apple iPhone X

The leaks were accurate. Apple launches 3 new iPhones this morning. They are iPhone X (pronounced as iPhone 10), iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The most significant product is definitely the iPhone X. This year is the 10th Anniversary of iPhone revolution (from 2007) and based on Tim Cook, the iPhone X will revolutionize the phone market again (I doubt so).

Pre-order of Apple iPhone X starts from 27th October and it will be available from 3rd November. That is a long wait for Apple’s standard.

Pricing-wise, you are going to hate it. It is one of the most (if not the most) expensive iPhones around. For the 64GB model, iPhone X costs S$1,648 and for the 256GB model, it costs S$1,888.

It comes with only 2 colors – Silver or Space Grey.

So, what are the changes in iPhone X?

  • There will be NO MORE home button. Instead, you can swipe from the bottom to unlock the phone.
  • Comes with Face ID, a new feature that you will map your face (30,000 points) to recognize you so that you can unlock the phone.
  • Has Wirelessly charging capability (Qi standard)
  • 5.8-inch Super Retina Display
  • Bluetooth 5.0
  • 12MPX Dual Camera with Dual OIS
  • Stereo Speakers
  • Portrait lighting (software)
  • Animoji (software)

During the event, they introduced a new accessory, the AirPower, a Qi Wirelessly charging pad that can charge multiple wireless gadgets.
