Intel Partners StarHub to Bring Acer C720 Chromebook to Singapore

SINGAPORE, December 4, 2013 — Intel Singapore partners StarHub to bring the latest Acer C720 Chromebook to Singapore consumers.
The Acer C720 Chromebook will be offered free to customers who subscribe to StarHub’s 200Mbps fibre home broadband plan for two years at $49.90/month, while customers who subscribe to StarHub’s 25Mbps cable home broadband plan for two years at $24.90/month can choose to top up $5/month to get the Chromebook. The recommended retail price for the Acer C720 Chromebook is S$469*.
Intel is optimistic that the device will appeal to consumers, and that StarHub’s home broadband bundles will help meet consumers’ need for connectivity and speed at an affordable price.
The Acer C720 Chromebook offers consumers the speed, simplicity and security needed for both work and personal usage.

- Boot up in less than 8 seconds
- Up to 8 hours of battery life2
- Pick up where you left off. When you sign in to any Chromebook or any computer running the Chrome browser, your apps and files will be there waiting for you.
- Create, share and edit Google Docs, Sheets Slides and other files in real time.
- Works offline as apps like Gmail Offline and Google Docs let you keep working when you’re not connected to the internet. There are also more offline apps in the Chrome Web Store too.
- All your apps appear in the launcher at the bottom of your screen. To find and add new apps, just visit the Chrome Web Store.
- Built-in virus protection and multiple layers of security such as sandbox, data encryption and verified boot for added security3.
