More time given to unearth Singapore’s creative PC gamers
Contest deadline of “Gear Wars” has been extended to 14 July to allow more gamers to submit their sketch of their dream set up.
Singapore — 27 June, 2013 — PC gamers who are still pondering over the eternal question: “What would the ultimate gaming PC look like?” can now breathe easy as the contest deadline for Logitech G’s “Gear Wars” initiative has been extended to Sunday, 14 July, giving gamers here more time to etch their sketch.
Since 4 June, Logitech G has invited creative talents in Singapore to submit a simple sketch on the ideal gaming set-up for the best PC gaming experience through their “Gear Wars” contest on the Logitech Singapore ‘Gear Wars’ Facebook App. Gaming fans, mod artists and designers are welcome to share their ideas, plans and/or sketches that combine top-of-the-line hardware with a creative visual theme. Up for grabs are attractive prizes and the rare opportunity to turn their dream machine into reality, in addition to bragging rights as “Singapore’s most creative PC gamer”.
Entries for the “Gear Wars” will be judged on the following criteria:
- Strength and cohesiveness of the entry’s theme;
- Creativity of design and visual appeal;
- Overall look and clarify of the sketches;
- Achievability of the design specifications;
- Written submission explaining rationale behind the design and how it makes for the ‘optimal gaming experience’.
The Top 10 most outstanding entries will be posted up on Logitech Singapore’s Facebook page in end-July for voting. The total number of votes garnered for each shortlisted entry will be taken into consideration by the panel of judges – consisting of representatives from Logitech, HardwareZone Singapore, a local gaming personality and mod artist – in determining the overall winner of the contest. The winning entry will go on to receive up to S$5,000 and assistance from Logitech Singapore to help bring their winning “Gear Wars” design to life!
Interested participants can now download the Gear Wars application form via the Logitech Singapore ‘Gear Wars’ Facebook App. Participants will be required to submit all items before the contest closes on 14 July 2013.
