‘Gear Wars’ launched to find Singapore’s most creative and passionate PC gamers
Logitech G invites avid gamers to submit designs of gaming mods and set ups that deliver ‘optimal gaming experience’
Singapore — 3 June, 2013 — “What would the ultimate gaming PC look like?” This perennial question has been on many an avid gamer’s lips for the longest time. At Logitech (SIX: LOGN) (NASDAQ: LOGI), our passion lies in the science that makes winning possible. Through countless hours spent on research and development, Logitech G has created precise gaming mice, keyboards and headsets boasting advanced cutting-edge technology so gamers can reach new levels of speed, precision, reliability and comfort.
In line with this mission, Logitech G has embarked on a hunt for the “ultimate gaming PC” through the “Gear Wars” initiative. Creative and passionate PC gamers are invited to submit their take on what they think would the most ideal gaming PC set-up that would allow for the ‘optimal PC gaming experience’. Gaming fans are invited to submit their ideas, plans and/or sketches that combine top-of-the-line hardware with a creative visual theme to stand a chance to win exciting prizes and the opportunity to turn their dream machine into reality.
Entries for the “Gear Wars” will be judged on the following criteria:
- Strength and cohesiveness of the entry’s theme;
- Creativity of design and visual appeal;
- Overall look and performance of the design;
- Achievability of the design specifications;
- Written submission explaining rationale behind the design and how it makes for the ‘optimal gaming experience’.
The winning entry, determined by a panel of expert judges, will go on to receive up to S$5,000 to help bring their winning “Gear Wars” design to life! The judging panel, which include seasoned gaming personalities, mod artists and the team at HardwareZone Singapore amongst other esteemed industry experts, will select the Top 10 most outstanding entries which will then be up for voting on Logitech Singapore’s Facebook page in mid-July. The total number of votes garnered per entry in the Top 10 Finalists will be taken into consideration to determine the overall winner.
Interested participants can now download the Gear Wars application form via the Logitech Singapore ‘Gear Wars’ Facebook App. Participants will be required to submit all items before the contest closes on 30 June 2013.
