Fitbit Flex is available for purchase now

Fitbit Flex is now available for purchase. Fitbit Flex is similar to Jawbone UP. It helps to monitor the movement of a person with sensors and the person can look at the results through app. One of the major (IMO) feature is that the Flex has Bluetooth 4.0 for wireless syncing.

Unlike Jawbone UP, Flex can sync with mobile or your PC (with the provided dongle) wirelessly via Bluetooth 4.0 (low power). This is really useful. Here is what you will get in the package.

  • Flex™ tracker
  • Large & small wristbands
  • Wireless sync dongle
  • Charging cable
  • Free membership – includes ability to log and track activity, food, sleep, water, body mass, weight, and more
  • Access to free mobile apps for iPhone and Android

Based on its technical specs, it is a shorter battery life than Jawbone UP. Before, you buy, do check if the Flex is compatible with your devices or not (Android).

The retail price is US$99.95. There are two original colors: Black, Slate (or light blue). To get the rest of the colors, they are sold as accessories.
