For those who take pictures or video outdoor or in very challenging situtation, these tough Panasonic SDHC cards might come in handy. They are built to survive unpredictable conditions.
The cards are waterproof to a depth of 1m. They are able to withstand temperatures between -25 to 85 degrees Celsius. The cards are shockproof and according to CNET Asia, they are claimed to be “resistant to static, magnetism and X-ray scanners”. Get this, each card has a built in fuse that prevents the card from overheating over prolonged use.
The SDHC cards come in Gold (Class 10), Silver (Class 6) and Blue (Class 4) series. No pricing yet but they should be available from September 2012.
