Instagram app for iOS has been updated. It now sports a new clean UI (User Interface) and a new feature that I like. The feature is Lux and it is supposed to enhance dark areas in the picture.

I think of Lux as something like HDR. It enhances the darker area of the picture and retain the rest to make the picture perfect. Instagram has also introduced a new filter, Sierra. Here are the changes in the new version 2.1

New:

• Lux: a new way to enhance your photos
• Simplified and improved design
• New filter: Sierra

Improved:

• Change your profile photo from your profile page
• Tap on push notifications to go straight to the photo
