When SingTel launches the Pre-Order site, it reaches its maximum capacity immediately and within 1.5 hours, 10,000 people had pre-ordered their iPhone 4s. Finally, the date has arrived for the official launch of iPhone 4s in Singapore (There is no exclusive for any telcos in this launch).
The launch was at Suntec Convention Hall 402 from 11pm. There was already a crowd there.
Security was tight (as usual) in such event.
The main focus of the media at the launch seems to be the first person in the queue. Every media wants to take a picture of him or do an interview. He is the one (below).
As the time draws nearer to midnight, the people were lead into the hall in batches. The first stop is the validation counter.
The first 10 person in the queue has the privilege to enter the VIP/guest area. Again, the first person in the queue was there, being interviewed by Razor TV.
As in the previous Apple products launch, SingTel has setup many counters to cater for the crowds. There were a total of 54 counters over there.
And SingTel has setup a Trade-In counter for those who wanted to trade in their phone.
If you think that your phone battery is dying on you, don’t worry. SingTel has a booth for charging your phone.
As usual, in many of the big scale launches, SingTel top executives are there.
Glenn Ong is the compere for the night. SingTel chose their latest app, de Find as the launch pad for Apple iPhone 4s. The app is capable of understanding local terms like Bak Chor Mee and etc.
This is the launch pad.

Look how engross they are watching the video.
Finally, the first 10 people in the queue were asked to go on stage to have a picture opportunity with SingTel execs.
As soon as this was done, the counter started to show the queue numbers and I can see many happy faces. I managed to catch up with our first person in the queue with his brand new Apple iPhone 4s.
From what I had seen, many people are interested in Siri. Many do not even know how to activate or call Siri out but they have heard about it and wanted to try. Unfortunately, I guess the connectivity there is overloaded, Siri sometimes responded with the answer that there is a connectivity problem.
It is difficult to differentiate between iPhone 4s and iPhone 4. I believe the volume buttons and antenna has slight differences (although it seems that most covers can fit iPhone 4s).
Here are some views of the iPhone 4s. I love the white iPhone 4s.

The 8 MegaPixels camera.
Notice that it is just iPhone without any version.
Ok, that is it on SingTel iPhone 4s. Thanks to SingTel for the invite.
