Xiaomi Phone is an Android phone with a twist. Although largely based on Android OS, it has its own MIUI build. This is the biggest selling part for the phone. With MIUI, it has a dual partition system where you can actually run 2 builds in a phone.
First, for the MIUI, it has some features that I like. For example, if you have used Android before, you will know that moving the icon from one screen to another will take time as try to push the icon. With Xiaomi, you can press and hold on the icon and use your other finger to swipe through the menu screen.
Another feature is the ability to add on more menu screen easily. And finally, the other feature which I think is unique to Xiaomi at this moment is the dual partition system. You can actually install (for example) a beta firmware on one partition while still using the stable one on another partition. You can then switch to the other partition when it completes installation. If you find that the new firmware is unstable, just switch back to the original partition. It is that simple.
Actually, the Xiaomi hardware is one of the best around. It has: –
- Processor: 1.5GHz dual-core chip
- Memory: 1GB RAM and a 4GB ROM
- Battery: 1930 mAh
- GPS: Built in GPS (with A-GPS) and Russia’s GLONASS
