Was invited to Sony Ericsson launch yesterday (22nd June). A few Android Smartphones were launched. One of them is Xperia ray. It has a 3.3-inch screen and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS.
After touching so many smartphones, this Xperia ray feels like a candy bar phone. It comes in 4 different colors, Black, Gold, White, Pink and it is super light weight at 100 grams.
Don’t let the size fool you, it packs a 8.1 MegaPixels camera that uses Sony Exmor R CMOS sensor, has a front facing VGA camera. It records video in HD (720p).
BTW, it also sports Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA® Engine and the TFT screen displays 16,777,216 colors and it has a 1 GHz processor.
Here are some shots of the Xperia ray.

Overall, I feel that this is a fuss free phone. The looks makes it look like an ordinary phone. However, the specs is almost top notch. However, without pricing, it is difficult to say if it will appeal to the mass. The phone will be available in Q3 2011.
