FAQ on the contest

FAQ

What is the competition?

The exciting visual design competition is a unique collaboration by two companies driving innovation in their respective fields. Standard Chartered recently ran the World’s Coolest Intern campaign that saw more than a thousand applicants vie for a coveted, high-profile internship in the bank, while frog design is using design thinking to amplify the social impact of mobile technology in its ‘Mobile Mandate’ campaign.

The title ‘inmode’ stands for ‘international, mobile, design’. It is an expression of three driving forces we think have a huge impact on our world today.

The theme & tagline ‘design to change the world’ is a call to action for young designers to show how they can use design to show us their vision for society.

What are the prizes?

The most promising young designer as chosen by frog design will experience a week in Shanghai, with a one-week internship at frog design and $2000 USD cash. The runner-up will receive an iPhone. The creator of the most popular design as voted by the public will win an iPad.

The 20 top designs will be chosen by Standard Chartered to be used as wallpapers in Breeze and the twenty designers will be profiled on the Breeze website.

Why are we doing this competition?
