Go! Shopping, Property Buddy and Price Pal bring shopping and
searching for property to a whole new dimension
Singapore, 6 July 2010 – Singapore Telecommunications Limited (SingTel) today launched three cutting-edge mobile applications tailored for consumers on the go – Go! Shopping, Property Buddy and Price Pal.

We are also pleased that our partnership with local entrepreneurs has resulted in Property Buddy being the first commercial service in Singapore using the latest Augmented Reality technology. This technology has resulted in an awesome experience for what used to be a mundane activity.”
The three applications were developed specially for today’s customers to fit their busy schedules. With customers constantly on the move, these applications make it a breeze to access useful lifestyle information like shopping directions, price comparison, promotions and property listings directly from their mobile phones.
Go! Shopping is a location-based application that even non-shoppers will appreciate. It allows users to access accurate indoor maps of major shopping malls across Singapore. It provides indoor navigation that allows users to find the fastest and most accurate route between stores. Shoppers will never have to worry about getting lost in a big shopping mall as this application loads visual maps of one’s surroundings. With Go! Shopping, they can also access information about stores and promotions. Finally, they can save a list of their favourite shopping malls for ease of future searches. Go! Shopping is compatible with iPhone 3G and Android 1.6 and above.
With the red hot property market in Singapore, property buyers and sellers will benefit tremendously from Property Buddy. Using augmented reality technology, it merges physical real-world environmental information with computer graphics to present a virtual map of properties for sale or rent. Customers simply need to point their mobile phone camera towards the general direction of the properties they want to search and they will be able to find the latest transacted prices and property for sale. Users can toggle between different residence type, district and price range. Users can also customise the application and view the results via augmented reality or normal view. Those eyeing particular pieces of property can include a list of most-watched buildings under a “Watchlist” where they will receive timely updates such as
how property prices are trending. Property Buddy is compatible with iPhone 3GS and at a later time, Android.
Price Pal is a mobile application that compares pricing by retrieving product information and user reviews through a bar code or text search function. Customers simply scan the product barcode using their phone camera and the application will immediately search and display the prices of the product sold in retail stores. This allows them to make more educated and informed purchase decisions. Price Pal is currently available for the following categories of items: books (with user reviews), groceries and petrol. Price Pal is compatible with iPhone 3GS and Android 1.6 and above.
Go! Shopping and Property Buddy are currently available to customers from all three telcos. Price Pal will soon be exclusively available to SingTel Mobile customers. The applications are free for download, but data charges will apply.
