I was shocked when I read how much Twitter had paid to Designer Simon Oxley for the now infamous Twitter Bird Logo. Nowadays, even you don’t flash the word twitter, many would have guessed it correctly by looking at the logo.
According to the report, Twitter approached Simon Oxley to buy the bird logo. Twitter did not specifically requested Simon to design for them. It seems that his design goes well with Twitter’s philosophy.
And now, the shocking truth, the logo was sold not at US$100,000 or US$10,000.
It was sold for a mere US$7 !!
