This China Brand Company,Meizu, started quite some time ago with many negative reports of imitation, especially with iPhone and etc. Many would have thought that will get sued or might not survive for so long. Today, instead of vanishing from the market, it has made a very nice promo video of M8. If you have followed Meizu’s M8 progress, you will know that they have changed their UI many times to isolate themselves from Apple iPhone.
In fact, the only thing that it resembles the iPhone now is the capacitive screen. But then, think about it, how many phone makers are not adopting to iPhone concept. You can see that the market is saturated with phone that has pages of icons on them. You see that companies are adopting to capacitive screen. You should get the point.
Maybe, it is just that Meizu’s CEO, Jack Wong, is too fast to realize the potential of iPhone and try to copy the concept right from the beginning. I think he is doing a great job. This is just my opinion. What do you think?
