Updated: With leak introduction video at MDA FutureBook event video..
Creative announces that it will be making a eReader-like device called a MediaBook. It will be powered by Zii technology. Apparently, during Creative’s Annual General Meeting, Creative surprised many by announcing its plan of entering the e-book market. Displaying a working model of its first e-book reader – tentatively named the MediaBook (not the one below, of course).
Here is the leak introduction video at MDA FutureBook event video from CodeAndroidSingapore (www.codeandroid.org).
Seems like this Zii MediaBook will be tapping on local media information for its MediaBook. According to the source, it is in talk with 10 international and local publishers to provide content for the MediaBook.
Besides reading your e-books and newspaper on the device, you will also able to Facebook and Twitter on the go, watch videos and view photos on the large touchscreen.
If the above statement is true, it will be like an all-in-one device. Schools will definitely love it! Looking forward for more information.
Hey, Creative, we are from Singapore. Why not share more things with us? We would love to see and blog about it.
