When I hear the word UAV, my first thinking is a aircraft-like unmanned vehicle. Now, with advancement in technology and the requirement for more covet operation, designers are thinking of more fanciful design. One DARPA contractor actually made the UAV or NAV (Nano Aerial Vehicles) into the shape of a hummingbird.
The prototype is named Mercury and from source, they mentioned that their end product will resemble more of a hummingbird. BTW, don’t expect the prototype in the video to look like the above picture. It is similar but still need some work.
