Ok. It is a long wait. Finally, Alienware has landed in Singapore. No joke. It is here and Dell is the company behind it to bring Alienware to Singapore. I had a call just a day before TGX09 to let me know that there is a media event on Alienware during the first day of TGX09. I decided to checked it out. For those who do not know Alienware, it is the company that manufactures one of the most powerful gaming laptop and desktop in the world (or Universe).
This event is like a small gathering. We are fortunate to be fed with some light snacks and mingle with Dell and Alienware representatives. In this event, the focus is on the 17-inch laptop (M17X).
I must say that the laptop is beautiful (and I don’t always use the term beautiful on a laptop 🙂 ) and it glows. The picture does not do justice to the color and definition. It is definitely built for gaming.
Unfortunately, I was too engrossed in the gaming part that I forgot to take those brochures. Anyway, click below to Dell website to see Alienware yourself. Price is not cheap but I guess that is the price to pay for gaming on a laptop. Price from S$3,999 and as usual of Dell website, the hardware is customizable.

Ok, back to the event. The media was given a chance to win a Dell Mini 9 by playing game! That is simply a good deal to be missed. I couldn’t detect any lag in the game at all. The graphics are rich and the gameplay smooth. They are also using Dell XPS series in this gaming experience.
Gaming is not for guys only. Look at them.
If you think that you would also want to take part in this challenge to win yourself some prize, you are in luck. Because for Saturday (4th July 09) and Sunday (5th July 09), Dell is organising Grid Challenges and even COD4 (Call of Duty 4). If you are interested, head down to Suntec Hall 4.
Ok, I enlarge those fine print.
BTW, thanks to Dell for the invite, I won myself a Dell Mini 9 🙂
And here are those who don’t get it 🙂 Joking la…
But you still have a chance on Saturday and Sunday. Go for it!
Anyway, there are a lot more to see at TGX09. I guess the exciting part will be the WCG challenge
And also there is a big Samsung booth.
Plus Cosplay Competition. Make sure to be there so as not to miss the fun! BTW, Alienware has launched a cool site. Check it out!
