Apple has fufilled its promise stated in January. While many already know that iTunes has removed the irritating DRM (Digital Rights Management), they also announced in January that new pricing will be incorporated in April with 10 million songs. Seems that all these are fulfilled. They are now calling the iTunes Music with a new name, iTunes Plus.
Now, the songs are encoded in 256kbps AAC format and of course, it is free of burn limits and DRM. Also, if you wanted to upgrade your previously purchased songs with the new iTunes Plus, just pay the upgrade price (30-cents per song, 60-cents for music videos, full album at 30% of the price)
Also, the pricing are also changed. Not all songs will be charged at a flat rate. Now, the prices range from 69-cents, 99-cents to $1.29.
