By now, everyone already know that only D90 (at this moment) is capable of shooting live video. However, that has not stopped some fans from tweaking their D700 to shoot video via Live View. Video after the break.
However, if you are thinking of doing this tweak yourself, good luck as it is not that straight forward.
First, you will need to obtain the Nikon’s SDK for the D700 and other things so that your D700 can capture the video from the live-view feed via USB.
Seriously, I don’t even want to think about that. Good news is that the modder by the name of Olivier Giroux may want to make the software publicly available.
