LG Optimus G was officially launched in Singapore on the 31st January 2013. Thanks to LG, I was invited to the event which was held at Jubilee Hall, Gardens By The Bay. It was my first time to attend an event there.
BTW, this Jubilee Hall is situated at the Flower Dome. The hall is very big.
The hall is separated into different zones where there are representatives to assist us in understanding the features of the LG Optimus G. The event started with two speakers from LG and one speaker from Qualcomm.
This is Mr. Kevin Shin, Vice President of Marketing, Asia/MEA/CIS region, LG Mobile Communications.
Next, we have a special guest, Mr. John Stefanac, President of Qualcomm Technologies Inc, South East Asia & Pacific region, to grace the event and a short speech on LG Optimus G and of course, the Qualcomm chip inside it.
Finally, the third speaker is a familiar face in LG events, Mr. Arthur Huang who presented the features of this LG Optimus G.
Following that, it was the official launch by the push of a lever. A series of actions transfer the LG Optimus G to the ending point.
Here is the video.
We were later given a tour to the various zones to experience the LG Optimus G. In the above video, you can see that this Android phone is pitted against some of the strongest competitors in the market.
Here is a shot of the LG Optimus G
And a super short hands on video. Thanks to the “thousands of light bulbs in the ceiling”, it is difficult to take a decent video without the reflection.
And finally, I have to do this. A comparison of the LG Optimus G with HTC Butterfly.
For those who wants to know the specs of the LG Optimus G, you can check the below link. Thanks again to LG for the invite.
