BlackBerry PlayBook finally appeared in real form at Adobe MAX Event. It supports Flash and Air seamlessly and also, RIM announces SDK for developers to work on apps for Playbook from today.
It is just a day before official launch (on 21st October 2010). I monitored the Marketplace daily and it is already ramping up on its games and apps. Although not comparable to the numbers on Apple Apps Store or Android Market, it is still a good sign.
Some interesting Apps available on Windows Phone 7 Marketplace. However, my favorites are still not ready for release as of this writing (17th October 2010).

Google has updated Gmail on Android with more features. And now, it is made into an app on Android Market. However, you will need Froyo (Android 2.2) to use it.
Yahoo is planning a new look on its homepage. It is supposed to be tablet friendly with HTML5 coding. And they are releasing a new Homepage
