Received the official announcement from HTC. HTC will be using SLCD (Super LCD Display) for a variety of HTC phones later this year. This is inline with the news in June that HTC may be facing AMOLED shortage. Based on the news, SLCD has better battery performance and viewing angle.

In an interview with Forbes, HTC’s Drew Bamford made some comments on their prized HTC Sense. He mentioned that they will still be around on Windows Phone 7 and on Android 3.0 (GingerBread).
