Huawei Giving Out Powerbanks to Apple iPhone Fans in Singapore (video)

Huawei staff is seen giving out Huawei powerbanks to Apple fans queuing up for the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max launch in Orchard Road Singapore in the wee hours on 21st September.

If you are one of the lucky ones that got the powerbank, congrats because it is the SuperCharge Powerbank (10,000mAh) retailing at S$98 (based on the picture). And each of them has a printed cover page saying:

Here’s a power bank. You’ll need it. Courtesy of Huawei.

Apple unveiled the latest Apple iPhone XS, XS Max and XR with mixed review in an event on 13th September. Few of the reasons are because of the high price tag and lack of innovation in the products.

Don’t get me wrong. Apple products are really well-made and can last for years. If you are already in the Apple eco-system, most probably you will continue to support it.

However, recently, Huawei has been challenging the premium flagship mobile phone sector aggressively with their latest products like the Huawei Mate 10 Series and the P20 Series.

Maybe, this time, it is a fun marketing stint by Huawei to stalk the Apple fans in Singapore. Check out this short video.

If you have been following Huawei’s Facebook page, you will know that Huawei has been subtly trolling Apple. Here is the video that says it all (right after the launch of Apple iPhone XS, XS Max and XR).

In the video, it says:

THANK YOU FOR LETTING US BE THE REAL HERO OF THE YEAR

SEE YOU IN LONDON 16.10.18

Huawei is unveiling the Huawei Mate 20 Series with Kirin 980 chipset on 16th October 2018 in London. Let’s wait and see if they meant what they say (being the Hero).
