SingTel sets a new record at Race The Dead 2013 for “Most People Showering Simultaneously (Single Venue)”. I am like “seriously”? Anyway, not sure the criteria but definitely the record (263 people) has broke the Singapore Book of Records and has been submitted to Guinness World Book of Records.
For those who may already know, Race The Dead 2013 was held at Sentosa last weekend. It was a 5km run with obstacles and Zombies all in the name of fun. Here is a video (by Melvin Ho) that I think is one of the best videos around (he lets you feel you are in the race because he strapped the video recording device on his head 🙂 ).
Here is the news release. BTW, I spotted a few mistakes like “Showing” should be “Showering” (not corrected) and some others like spacing in the sentences (corrected).
SingTel sets a new record at Race The Dead 2013
SingTel successfully set a new record for “Most People Showing Simultaneously (Single Venue)” in the Singapore Book of Records yesterday at Race The Dead 2013. 263 people scrubbed and lathered themselves into the record books which will also be submitted to the Guinness World Book of Records. The current record of 232 people is held by Pharmacie Nouvelle in Mauritius.
Under the scorching Sentosa sun, runners traversed a series of obstacles across the 5 km between Tanjong and Siloso Beach while dodging and outrunning zombie hordes. Among the obstacles was the SingTel ‘glidiator’ – a steep wall which runners had to scale before sliding into a pool of water.
The latest episodes of the Walking Dead Season 4 were screened after the run and those who dared could catch a ‘Thrill ride’ off the island in a taxi (complete with Zombie driver) sponsored by Thrill Channel, who also organized an hourly screaming contest.
And the photos (resized to fit the blog post) from SingTel. Note that all photos are credited to SingTel. Enjoy those zombies and showering pics..
