If you think movies like Terminator is just some fantasy made up by filmmakers, check this Altas robot out. It is developed by Boston Dynamics for DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency).
I wonder if this idea originated after or before the movie Terminator. Anyway, according to DARPA, this Altas robot is supposedly built to save people and at the moment, Atlas is not armed. Check out the video.
Now, this is the first time I see a robot behave so human-like.
