Images of an 8-inch Acer Iconia W3 tablet have appeared. This might be the first manufacturer to confirm a smaller form factor tablet since Microsoft’s CFO, Peter Klein, confirmed that they are currently working with PC OEM on smaller form factor devices.
From the source, this Iconia W3 might sport a 1.8Ghz Intel Atom Z2760 processor with 2GB of RAM. It might not be as powerful as those with i5 or i7 processor but I think it is great for basic work and entertainment consumption.
Check out the images of its keyboard and flip cover.

I think it is great that Microsoft decided to allow smaller form factor Windows 8 devices. With the success of its competitors, I am sure the ground work has been laid to the consumers to accept such devices. Looking forward to seeing them released soon.
