The much anticipated Sony PlayStation 4 has been announced today. It has backings of big gaming companies. The presentation showed a lot of information on the games and the DualShock 4 controller except for the console itself.
There is no pricing and the availability is just Holiday 2013 (I presume it is towards the end of the year). However, looking at the video of the games, I think they look awesome.

From the information that I have read, Sony focused a lot on social sharing and connectivity. And with Sony Eye, I see that as a direct competition with Xbox 360.
From the blog post of The Verge, the PS3 games is not backward compatible with the PS4 console
Unfortunately, while the new console will in fact not be backwards-compatible with current PlayStation 3 titles, the much-anticipated streaming solution for PS3 titles isn’t here. However, Perry did say that the company was “exploring” the ability for PS3 titles to eventually be available on almost any device.
Nevertheless, PS4 do have some great games to start with.
Games
From the video, I think the games look awesome. Here are some titles: –
- Killzone: Shadow Fall
- Deep Down
- Watch Dogs
- Driveclub

Another interesting thing about the Sony PS4 is that Sony is going to launch a Sony PlayStation app for Android and iOS later to complement as a second screen for the console.
Anything that I missed? Or yes, how does Sony PlayStation 4 looks like? I guess everyone will be curious to know. We do not have the answer (yet).
