Mobile voice & text platform now delivers free app-to-app calls, text messages,
facebook phone calls, and international voice roaming
Singapore, 10 July , 2012 – Maaii, a new multi-platform mobile application that allows users to make calls and send text messages to contacts and social network friends for free, announces the launch of its beta on Google Play.
In the six months since Maaii’s iOS launch, the mobile app has attracted more than 1 million registered users. With the release of its Android beta version, Maaii is set to deliver the same rich HD quality voice communications and innovative Facebook integration to even more devices worldwide, for free.
“Our inclusion in Google Play demonstrates Maaii’s commitment to delivering extraordinary value to our growing user base. The successful launch of our iOS app resulted in a cascade of requests for access to our Android app and we’ve responded by opening up our beta testing to the public. The results thus far have been staggering, with tens of thousands of testers already participating,” said Chris Lewis, Vice President for Maaii.
“Android users can now enjoy a mobile VoIP application which connects them to their social networks on their smartphones for free. We’re excited to add that this is only the beginning. Maaii for Android features all of the key functions the iOS version provides including:
- Predictive Dialing, to help users quickly find contacts as they dial a number.
- Social Sync, which allows users to place phone calls or send texts to Facebook friends, even without knowing their phone number.
- Push Notifications, which alert users of incoming calls, messages and friends joining Maaii.
- International Voice Roaming, which allows users to make calls to landline and mobile numbers of friends who don’t yet have Maaii in more than 200 destinations Worldwide.
In addition to Android beta, Maaii recently launched a developer SDK allowing 3rd party developers to add HD voice communications into their native iOS or Android applications. This is backed by its extensive operator network and is the precursor to a range of SDK services that will form a suite of enriched platform services.
