Expect to see Kinect hardware soon (early 2012). According to Microsoft, they having optimized the hardware by shortening the USB cable, adding a dongle and firmware upgrade to ensure compatibility and stability for Kinect to be used on PC.

So, don’t be surprise if you see people waving at the computer in near future. This is not something new. Already, we have seen fair share of people hacking with the Kinect sensor to work on computer. To let Microsoft endorse Kinect on PC, it will be better.
