Based on the source, Facebook is going to launch their much awaited iPad app during iPhone 5 launch on the 4th of October 2011. On first look, it looks like Twitter interface. Anyway, it is always good to get an app from the source.

From the Mashable, it seems that the app was ready since May and due to some issues, it was not being released.
