Microsoft’s Mouse Without Borders is awesome. I tried it. Super easy to use and it is free to download. In a nutshell, this software allows you to share a mouse amongst your computers in the same network (up to 4).
This software allows you to use your mouse across your computers. Now, I truly understand why it is called Mouse without Borders. After installation, you will be given a set of identity (unique access code). Install the software on another computer (in the same network), follow the instruction and key in the unique access code and both computers are linked.
This software is a Garage project by Microsoft developer Truong Do. The Garage is a physical place in Microsoft where their engineers can spend time after work to work on mini projects or ideas.
In this case, this Mouse without Borders project is so good that Microsoft is promoting it. I am hooked. Now, I can seamlessly move my mouse across my Desktop and laptop with ease. And it is super easy to drag files across the computers now. Love it.
